A Traditional Kitchen with a Modern Twist

Kitchen renovations are so fun to me! As an avid cook, I love the challenge of utilizing both form AND function in a kitchen space. When these clients reached out to me about redoing their kitchen, I could see the end result in my head immediately. As a designer, I could already see the elements that would tie into their historic home, the modern touches that would keep it up to date, and the pretty details that make it feel like home. The result is a gorgeous mix of traditional elements with workable surfaces and classic design.
Below, I’m sharing photos of the kitchen pre-reno (items of note: boxes above cabinets, heavy lighting, and dated backsplash), a few pics of the empty space post-demo, a couple of snaps on install/fluff day….and FINALLY, the incredible “after” images captured by my friend Alexandra Haynes.
