North Georgia Farmhouse

Years in the making, this extraordinary farm retreat for a large (and growing) family is a delightful mix of new materials like steel doors, materials pulled from the earth like the stone facade, and modern comforts like plenty of storage to make time here comfortable for everyone. Rough hewn beams, oak floors, handmade tiles, and character-laden wood walls speak to the details of working with Greg Busch as principal architect. Incorporating layers of furnishings and rugs, mixing metals with finishes, bringing in texture with wall treatments, and a few spaces with a pop of color made this interiors project a labor of love of almost three years. Grounds designed by the late Carson McElheney speak to provenance, and appear to have been here for decades before.
