My Office Reveal

As I mentioned before, I fell in love with this cute little house the first time we saw it. From the details and charm, to the size and location, I knew it would be a fantastic place to grow my business.
During our walk through, I knew immediately that the cube room on the front of the house with the pretty old French doors would be the perfect spot for my office. Here, I meet with my clients, respond to emails, and plan my days.
A few “before and after” images for you guys:

My office is filled with some of my favorite things. First and foremost, you might notice the gorgeous chinois desk. It is a hand-me-down from my sweet Mama, and it truly makes such a statement. The first time I laid eyes on the Thibaut Carolina grasscloth, I knew I had to have it for the walls, and the same was true for the Ralph Lauren floral that I used for the drapes. The white mirror is a college piece that I’ve had for years, and the plate collection is from an antique mall in Athens. Sorry, y’all, they’re not for sale. 🙂

The white desk is a budget-find from Amazon, but I love the modern lines mixed with the chinois desk. I always try to blend different styles together to keep things unexpected and the eye curious. The zebra hide was a gift from a while back that has lived in every room in my house and is now happy in my office. The office chair is an estate sale find that got a fresh cushion. The metal chairs are from Queen of Hearts antiques (one of my favorite stores!) with a pretty Schumacher diamond woven.

The front living space of the house with the original fireplace has been an ideal spot for our guests to wait and for us to have meetings. Since it’s a small little space, we tucked in a slipper chair and a small loveseat. It’s also the perfect spot for us to display our pretty pillows that are always up for grabs!

Another feature I love about the cottage is that our fun space is ever-changing with beautiful new artwork from Caroline‘s gallery on the walls, and the most extraordinary rugs from Jen’s collection at Looms and Lighting. If you follow along on Instagram, you’ve probably seen us “fluffing” this room from time to time. A new rug here, or a new pair of pillows there keeps my creative juices flowing and gives clients something fresh to see each time they visit.

The adjacent space to the living area is our fabric library, our design studio space, and more display for more pretty pillows. It’s also a space where I can spread out my fabrics, show samples to clients, and have team meetings.
In the library, you’ll see new custom cabinetry made by local craftsmen at Cabinetry by Collier. We painted it in Benjamin Moore’s Knoxville Gray, and it’s perfect for my pillow stash! The table is a simple, 8’ folding banquet table with a custom tablecloth in a classic ticking stripe. The pretty antique crewel textile you see below was used for our open house. 🙂
We found that wire bins are an easy way to see fabrics and other materials. It’s all organized by color or use, with space for wallpaper samples, paint decks, rug samples, and trims. The top houses more available pillows, artwork that’s for sale, and lamps from our stash too.
Check out these in progress shots and see the final result! We LOVE it!

These three spaces are where I spend a majority of my time during the day, but of course, I’m always visiting Caroline and Jen in their offices, too. It’s so fun to have everyone under one roof and accessible. We can bounce ideas off of each other, chat about future projects, and from time to time, pour a glass of champs to celebrate a job well done.
